- Turns into a bull and seduces Europa, who gives birth to king Minos in Crete, whose wife later gives birth to the Minotaur.
- Hera discovers the affair between Zeus and Io (a priestess of Hera), and in her rage, she transforms Io into a white heifer and sends a snake monster, Argus, to guard her. Zeus sends Hermes to kill the snake.
